Vita
Having grown up in the countryside, Peter Lindenberg soon began to observe and paint: the peculiar landscape of the Lüneburg Heath region, people, animals and architecture. The forests impressed the artist the most. The changing light, the structures, the unfathomable.
The artist kept nature as the central motif of his painting, but now it is more artificial, more geometric or architectural. The conceptual pair of opposites "Romantic Constructivism" is a tension in which Lindenberg can switch from one extreme painting to another. From cold geometric forms, which remind him of the fields of his homeland, to free compositions that fill the painting almost chaotically like a sign of disorder, and back again to the narrowness of the city and the crowd.
